Economic Research Forum (ERF)
The Economic Research Forum (ERF) is a regional network dedicated to the promotion of high quality economic research to contribute to sustainable development in Arab countries, Iran and Turkey.
Founded in 1993, the ERF’s basic objectives are to reinforce the strong research capacities in the ERF region; to direct and support the production of high quality independent economic research; and to disseminate scientific production to a broad, varied audience.
The EFR carries out a range of activities in order to achieve these objectives. These involve the mobilisation of funds for well-designed projects, the management of carefully selected regional research initiatives, and training and mentoring programmes for young researchers. They also include the organization of seminars and conferences on the results of research, and the publication of research via multiple channels, including working papers, books, policy briefs and a newsletter entitled Forum.
