Economists Circle

More than fifteen years ago, at a time when the strong franc policy did not leave room for any alternative, there was a desperate shortage of economic debate.

The idea developed of bringing together economists in order to organize an open debate, accessible to as many people as possible, that would reconcile political realism with facts and rigorous analysis. And so the Economists Circle was born.

Today the Circle is a major contributor to French economic debate; consisting of 30 members, all academics, who work or have worked in the private or public sector. Each member has a different approach and different areas of expertise, thereby ensuring broad debate, that is nevertheless united by a shared conviction: the necessity of providing a space for democratic dialogue between economists across a range of activities.
